I loved this design challenge. I now have it well embedded in my brain so I'm sure I'll use it again and again.
The embellishments on this card were made using brown hemp found at Walmart in the jewelry design area. It was knotted three times to get the 'circle' effect and just loosely wrapped around the card for the binding effect.
The 'petroglyph' stamps are from Rubber Poet. The arrow is marked 'Laura Kirste Campbell - Rubber Soul. "Birthday Wishes" is from Verve's 'Circular Sayings'.
The background paper for the images is a piece of soft brown light weight card stock - no name given. The effect for the two vertical areas, was created by sponging with ColorBox:dark brown, topped with a touch of Distress Ink:Walnut Stain. The images were stamped with the same ColorBox dark brown.
The circle was torn from an off white linen textured scrap. It was sponged with the Color Box dark brown. The ink for the aqua center Martha Stewart: Bluegrass. 'Birthday Wishes' was stamped on top of the sponging with Distress Ink:Walnut Stain.
The dark brown base for the card is 80# cardstock from Carnival Vellum:Coco. Thanks for the inspiration - it was fun!
