Hometown Fun

It's great to live in a small town with lots of community spirit. We had a great time Saturday enjoying the HOMETOWN CELEBRATION. We only participated in a few of the activities but everyone had a wonderful time. We had David and Shelly and children with us. We were first attracted to the horse-drawn wagon rides. But we enjoyed food, fun and crafts at the library, the community center and at the skate board park. Santa took the first ride on the wagon rides, and there was a little excitement when another Santa showed up near the hardware store - Oops! Bailey declared that she liked Frosty the Snowman better than Santa. - Wonder what she'll get for Christmas? A snowball, maybe? Double Oops!! We didn't get a chance to check it out but we're excited that our little park downtown has had a complete upgrade. From paths and picnic tables to benches and play equipment, it's a brand new Davis Park. We'll be visiting there often on dry days. (twice a year?) All in all it was just great fun walking around town enjoying the carolers and activities. We often refer to our little town as the Norman Rockwell village. It's a great feeling. Hope you enjoy our pictures - we had fun taking them.
